Last weekend Rogue Wave Adventures took Jill Roth Alm, Mike Germani, and Mark Morel, all repeat students, for a three day Impact Zone Survival class. Why repeat you ask? Gluttons for punishment I guess.
Because each class is customized for student skills and conditions, this provided a unique opportunity to push these three to new levels in boat control in dynamic water. We began day one with surf drills: asserting control in the break zone followed by surf rescues.
Day two we toured around Cape Flattery locating boomers and practicing how to safely navigate and escort less experienced paddlers through these conditions.
Day three we worked on close quarters precision and control in the rocks followed by fun end of the day surfing.
